PACIFIC COAST

It's our last hurrah for the summer.  We are off this week, emulating Jack Kerouac and his Beat buddies' bohemian travels down the Pacific Coast.  Well, a less depraved version of their travels anyway.

Carmel and Big Sur summon up coastal California beauty.  Redwoods, cypress trees, rocky beaches, artist colonies.  Especially with Clint Eastwood's stamp in Carmel, I know I'll be packing rugged.  Time for spaghetti western glamor.

These Miu Miu wedges always make me think of the Pacific Coast -- denim, rivets, leather.  Wild west ingredients.  The only thing missing is a horse.

I hope to be able to catch up on everyone's blogs this week.  It all depends on wi-fi conditions and time not spent in forests or beaches.  Let's all enjoy this last week of summer!

    Have a great trip! I'm so envious. I am ready to travel. September! I get a 3 day weekend. Then i'm off. Back to NY. And thanks. I'm feeling much better today!

    Last week of summer? I wish! We won't see "Fall" until Halloween down here! So envious of your trip... Jack Kerouac is one of my favorite authors. "On the Road", "Desolation Angels"... "The Dharma Bums"... "Satori in Paris"... I could go on and on. Enjoy the life (or diluted version - less bohemian, more bourgeois!) Have a fantastic time and take lots of pics!!

    Oh, I love Carmel. Mind you, I was only eight, when I first and last went there, but I have fond memories. Must go back! And it's always been my dream to see more of the Big Sur. Hope you have a great time!

    I LOVE all Miu Miu shoes. Just recently discovered that, for some reason I thought that I thought that Miu Miu was weird. Well, now I know that that is NOT the case, and will need to do some serious money saving. After I buy that camera...
