BREAKFAST SHADOWS

"Here comes the sun, doodle-doo-doo.  Here comes the sun, and I say ... It's alright!"
                                                                                                                 -- The Beatles

Well, the Weatherman was delightfully wrong this morning.  At least for about half an hour.  I was quietly enjoying my jam and toast when the angle of the June sun cast strong shadows onto our breakfast nook.  My toast half-chewed, I jumped up to grab my camera.  Carpe diem!

Shadows in our breakfast nook

Think the skeletal pattern on the chair might work for scene in a strange Tim Burton film?  (These are exactly where the shadows struck, not composed by me.)

The sun has gone back to hiding behind the clouds.  Needless to say, I had a moment of breaking out in song.

Here comes the sun ...!

  2. You obviously have an acute eye for shadows and light and I'm really enjoying the way you capture these fleeting moments in your black and white images. I've been away from the internet for a few days so just scrolled down through your other posts I'd missed and wow! That ballet photo - stunning. Another perfectly captured moment.
