SUN & STRIPES

Stripes.  Sun.  What first inspired this combination?  Is it Missoni, whose colorful knits elicit a reciprocal zig zag smile?  Or the Rainbow, since that first lucky spotter after the rain?  Or perhaps it's simply Summer, and stripes-with-sun declare the season like no other.

A California Afternoon



You could say this Foolish Aesthete has made the transition from brisk Manhattanite to recumbent Californian.  Sure, I miss the frenetic energy of New York City.  But I can't complain, not while I'm sitting poolside with a chilled glass of Chardonnay.  Not bad at all.

Who am I kidding?  I'm still running around like a busy bee all the time!  But I am so thankful for little breaks, under the blue sky, buoyed by stripes.

    @StyleDilettante - Yes, I am really curious to see what Missoni prepared for Target! I thought I saw photos of Margherita Missoni decorating her apartment with things from their Target collection.

    The Cathedral is the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in Ny. I was having coffee and one of the best croissant's i've EVER had over at the Hungarian pastry shop just down the street and it was a warm day so i decided to pop in. It was beautiful.
