MISCALCULATING

These Christmas holiday sales render my math skills useless.  My husband rolls his eyes and bemoans my faulty arithmetic again.

"What's all this?  50% off is not a savings, especially when you buy two of them!"

One of two embellished cloches I picked up at half off.
The other one was for everyday.
This is the "Where do I wear it?" one -- but I loved the blue-tinged feathers and jewels.
Cloche: Scala

Now, I feel guilty.  I'm viewing a musical version of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" while folding laundry (and typing this).  Tiny Tim's beautiful Christmas spirit tugs at me as I'm confronted with my material miscalculations.

We have Christmas parties tonight and tomorrow, and more throughout the week.  Perhaps I'll find a use for that jeweled cloche after all.  Are you ready for Christmas?

  3. Oh my god, you don't need to find a particular occasion to wear this hat, just use one day this and the other day the other one.. it's really elegant but you don't have to wait evening to wear it :) i found one similar where i live (without jewel) but it costs 30euros, too much for me :(

  11. I have something of a weakness for a cloche hat - so I doubt I'd be able to resist TWO of the beauties!
Ah, Tiny Tim - I went to my little brother's school play version of A Christmas Carol, so now I'm feeling truly festive.

  16. There is this weird juxtoposition in Christmas with buying gifts and material things and then the fact that there's so much need out there. My math skills? Just ask my mathematician husband how many times I ask him to figure out a price for me.
