SUCH STUFF AS DREAMS ARE MADE ON

Last weekend, we headed to Montecito Sequoia Lodge in the Sequoia National Forest.  We had been looking forward to meeting up with good, old friends and their families.  We arrived close to sunset.  The kids were immediately drawn to the Lake at the edge of the forest.  Likewise, we were entranced.

Lulled into dreams and childhood memories.  Immersed in bucolic idyll.

Why do good memories always seem to be bathed in a golden, sun-washed glow?  That's what this place felt like.

    Here you go again - catching light with your camera! I have sometimes wondered if we only remember times as being golden, but no - here's the proof! It really is gold. Sounds glorious.

    Whoa, fantastic light and those pics look as if taken from a summer camp movie. Love it. And yes golden memories. Maybe because most good memories are created on golden days.

    Thanks for stopping by and your nice comment. I'm quite lazy, when it comes to lensechanging or camerasetting, too. That's why I love my Ixus and my Lomo so much, no big setting required and lightweight.
