SPANISH IRON WORKS

Crazy busy day yesterday.  After all the zany color, this Foolish Aesthete decided to focus on the purity of lines and curves.  Old Town Los Gatos revealed many.  Spanish iron works are a typical part of the architecture down town.

I wanted to frame these better but was on a tight schedule (not to mention mention self-conscious as shop keepers stared at me snapping away).  So a few hurried snapshots are all you get.  Nevertheless, I loved how the grills of the open gate created a lattice against the radiating lines of the frame.  The Moorish ornamentation wove it back to its old, Spanish origins.
